Giới thiệu về phiên bản BORGChat giao diện tiếng Việt

 

Tác giả chương trình cho biết: “Từ mùa hè năm 2002, tôi đã bắt tay xây dựng một chương trình giúp người dùng máy tính có thể chia sẻ tài nguyên trong mạng nội bộ. Trước đó, tôi đã sử dụng nhiều chương trình khác để đáp ứng nhu cầu tương tự, nhưng tôi chưa hài lòng về chúng! Đó cũng là lý do cho sự xuất hiện của BORChat”.

Từ thực tế phong cách và thói quen làm việc của các công dân Việt Nam thời đại  số như các công chức, học sinh, sinh viên… cũng như những doanh nhân bận rộn, VNHs nhận thấy nhu cầu về phần mềm tin nhắn rất lớn nên giới thiệu cho bạn đọc một phần mềm dung lượng khiêm tốn, tiện dụng, hiệu quả và có giao diện bằng tiếng Việt – BORChat 348.

 

Phần mềm được phát triển qua thời gian dài, trải qua nhiều thử nghiệm với nhiều người dùng ở các khu vực khác nhau trên thế giới và nhất là được tích hợp hầu hết các tính năng của những phần mềm nhắn tin hiện đại như ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Achat…

 

Chương trình này đặc biệt thích hợp những đối tượng sau:

Đặc điểm nổi bật

  1. Why BORGChat ?
    Since the summer of 2002 I've been trying to build a chat that has everything I need to communicate in my network. I've used other programs before, but none had everything I wanted so I started (from scratch). For now, BORGChat is still in BETA stages but v1.0 is expected this summer!
  2. What means BORGChat ?
    The name comes from the BORG race from Star Trek:
    The Borg is without question one of the most fearsome and relentless forces in the Milky Way galaxy. A massive society of cybernetic automatons abducted and assimilated from thousands of species, the Borg Collective is intent on achieving "perfection" by spreading its influence into every corner of space, consuming technologies and individuals without conscience, obliterating entire civilizations in its wake. And it has a particular interest in incorporating the human race into its "Hive."
    I want BORGChat to "assimilate" ...
  3. When placing an image either in a private messsage or on a message board other users can't see the image. All that comes up is a small blank box. What's wrong ?
    The idea is :
    1. You want to send a picture using BORGChat insert image feature
    2. Put the image in a shared folder with read rights (or share the folder where the picture is)
    If that image is put for example in "pic" shared folder and your computer name is "pentium" anyone from the network should see your folder by simply typing in run \\pentium\pic . If no one from the network can acces this share they will probably receive a message that they don't have the permision to acces this folder. In this case read the windows help to find out how to share properly (win 2000 and up)
    3. Put the correct path in that box : \\pentium\pic\picture.jpg
    That's all
    If something does not work is probably because you put c:\picture.jpg instead of \\pentium... or that share can't be accessed.
    Tip :
    To make this work fast (so you don't type the path) click the small folder icon next to the path box and go thru my network\entire network\workgroup\your pc name\the share with the picture\
  4. What's the use of the checkbox next to each user / group ?
    They are usefull when you want to beep/send message/send file to more than one user. Select wanted names and right click on an empty space in users window.
  5. I have ignored all messages from a specific user. Why i still see them in chat ?
    Ignoring means that you wont be disturbed by those messages. The icon in taskbar won't change and there will be no sound. .
  6. How can i write multiple lines in a single message ?
    Instead of pressing "enter" after each line "use ctrl+enter".
  7. I wonder what do mean the icons to the left of user's nicks in user's list ?
    There are 3 colors : red gray and green. Green is "i'm availble", gray something like busy and red meens that he's not at the pc. All the messages can be changed.
    When the icon is shaded (partialy visible) meens that the program isn't at the top of another windows > that user is't watching the chat in that moment..
    When the icon is "normal" the program is at the top of another windows > probably that user is reading or writing a message.
  8. How can i record Quick messages ?
    Record : Type a message and Press Ctr+Shift+F1..F12
         Insert : Press Shift+F1..F12
         Delete : Record an empty message
  9. How can i quickly change my nick ?
    Type /nick my_name.
  10. How can i quickly change my mode ?
    U can quickly change your mode by typing "/avlb" for available mode, /busy for "busy" mode or /away for "away" mode.
  11. How can i make BORGChat to start at every Windows StartUp ?
    Click at the Options icon situated on the left side of the users/computers pannel. In the General Options submenu at the System tab you will find an unchecked box containing the description "Start with Windows StartUp".You must just mark it.
